Confirma Optio Setup Guide

Confirma Optio is the local Windows service that connects your POS to Confirma Centurio (cloud) and to onsite payment terminals such as Nets Baxi, Worldline, Verifone VIM, and WestPay. Any onsite-terminal integration requires Optio installed, configured, and running before the payment APIs will work.

Before you start

Item	Why you need it
ConfirmaPay credentials (Client Id, Client Secret, Tenant name)	Optio authenticates to Centurio and you call APIs — request from the support team (see Developer Guide — Authentication).
Windows machine for the Optio service	Optio runs as a Windows service via WinSW.
Payment terminal on the network	The terminal must be reachable from the Optio machine on its configured TCP port.
Optio setup package (`.zip`)	Provided by support; contains an `.exe` installer.

2. Install Optio

Run the installer

Unzip the setup package from support and run the .exe on the machine that will host Optio. It installs Optio as a Windows service (via WinSW) and a windows application Optio Control Panel and creates the auto-update scheduled tasks.

Connect Optio to Centurio

Open Optio Control Panel → Configuration and set:

Centurio base URL (API host for your environment)

SignalR base URL and hub path (if shown)

Tenant identifier (the tenant code used in API paths)

Client Id and Client Secret (the same OAuth client used to Obtain a token)

Save, then confirm the Optio Windows service is running.

In Optio Control Panel, add your payment terminal (for Nets Baxi: Terminal Id + Port; enable the terminal). For multi-operator / logical terminals, set the operator and pass the same value as the channel option in your API requests.

The Update Check task runs every ~10 minutes (downloads new releases from Azure Cloud via a short-lived URL) and the Service Monitor task runs every ~3–5 minutes to restart Optio if it stops. Updates are staged in the current user's OptioUpdates app-data folder.
